Welcome!

If I ever make it back to England, I want to see Lancashire in honor of my Lancashire-born great-grandparents who passed on a love of the royal family.

They’re the reason I’m here now.

Hi, I’m Mandy, a historian with 20+ years of experience in research and writing about monarchy. After the death of Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997, I began studying about the history of the monarchy in general and it was everything I’d heard about: HM Queen Elizabeth II was an incredible lady who was a living representation of history, beloved by everyone. Knowing the royals in the UK led me to the European royal families, who are, of course, connected to Britain by way of Queen Victoria, known as “the Grandmother of Europe”. It’s been a fascinating journey.

I became a royal historian and commentator for several years as “Mandy’s Royalty” before taking a hiatus, returning as "Mandy On Monarchy".

I hope you enjoy all that is provided here.
